This new analytics tool, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), will completely replace Universal Analytics by July 1, 2023. However, RUNMARK advises against waiting that long to make the switch. Read below to find out why.
Google Analytics 4 vs. Universal Analytics
The way we obtain and analyze data is continuously changing. Your online presence is more complex than ever, and privacy is becoming increasingly critical.
GA4 is the next step in helping you and your business succeed in the future:
- More insight into customer journeys by collecting information from multiple devices
- Increased focus on privacy such as cookieless measurements
- Improved integrations with Google’s media platforms driving actions on your website
When Should I Switch to GA4?
Now! Do not wait to make the switch. You should create a new Google Analytics 4 account (alongside your current one) and complete the setup as soon as possible. Your Universal Analytics account will continue to gather data until the cut-off next July, however, this advancement will allow you to begin collecting data on the new property. Otherwise, you will not have access to this information since Universal Analytics will stop processing new hits.
