WordPress Website Maintenance

At RUNMARK, we actively maintain your WordPress website to ensure it stays secure, up-to-date, and running smoothly.

What We Do Every Week

Every Thursday, our team performs scheduled maintenance tasks to protect and optimize your website:

  • Update WordPress Core to the latest version

  • Update Themes and Plugins to patch vulnerabilities and add new features

  • Monitor Security by scanning for malware, blacklists, and other risks — and taking action if needed

  • Inspect Visually after updates to ensure everything is working properly

  • Monitor Uptime 24/7 and perform fast updates if issues arise

  • Apply Minor Fixes at no extra cost*

*For more complex issues, we’ll provide clear recommendations and a detailed quote for approval before making changes.

What You Need to Know About Backups

Backups are copies of your website that can be restored if something goes wrong — for example, if a plugin update causes an error, or if your site is ever hacked.

Most hosting platforms automatically create backups of your website on a set schedule (often daily or weekly). These backups include your website files, images, and database. If your website ever needs to be restored, your hosting provider or RUNMARK can help you roll back to one of these saved versions.

For businesses that need extra protection, there are more robust backup options available.

What You Manage As the Owner

We make sure you retain ownership of your critical accounts. To keep your website online, there are three responsibilities that always stay with you:

1—Maintain Your Domain Registration

Your domain name (your website’s URL) must be renewed on a recurring basis — monthly, annually, or multi-year. If the registration expires, your website and related email addresses will stop working.

Action Required: Keep your payment method current and set reminders for your renewal date.

2—Maintain Your Hosting Account

Your hosting provider stores your website files, and can be different from your domain registration account. It is your responsibility to keep your billing information and contact details current with them.  If payment fails, your hosting provider will suspend the account and your website will go offline.

Action Required: Keep your billing details up to date with your hosting provider.

3—Test Your Website Forms

We recommend testing your website contact forms regularly to confirm that you receive all customer inquiries. Form testing is not included in our standard maintenance plan, but we’re available to help if you run into issues.

Ongoing Support

Our goal is to keep your website running at its best — while making ownership simple and transparent.
